"I'm Still Here (Jim's Theme)" is a cool song written by John Rzeznik. He is the lead singer of the band Goo Goo Dolls. This song was made for the Disney science-fantasy movie Treasure Planet. It came out in 2002 and became a popular hit.

Making the Song: "I'm Still Here"

John Rzeznik was chosen to write this song for Treasure Planet. The movie makers thought he could really understand the main character, Jim. Jim is a bit of a rebel, but for good reasons.

The directors, Ron Clements and John Musker, said they had used another song by Rzeznik's band, "Iris", while working on the film. Rzeznik himself said it was easy to connect with Jim. He felt a lot like Jim when he was younger.

"I'm Still Here" is one of two songs Rzeznik performed for the Treasure Planet soundtrack. The other song is "Always Know Where You Are". Rzeznik sang "I'm Still Here" in the movie. However, the band BBMak performed it on the official soundtrack album.

Music Video for "I'm Still Here"

A music video was made for "I'm Still Here". It shows a young man in front of different changing scenes. John Rzeznik also appears alongside him. The young man and Rzeznik are seen running throughout the video. They run towards Treasure Planet and away from the young man's arguing parents. They also run from Scroop, one of the villains from the movie, shown as a shadow. The video also shows the destruction of the planet. At the end of the video, Rzeznik is walking down a road.

One review said the music video was "stylish" and "artistic". It connected to the movie in a clever way. It did not just show clips from the film with music over them.
