Legends of Tomorrow
In the TV show Legends of Tomorrow, the heroes learn that their actions have been controlled. Captain Cold says, "There are no strings on me" as he makes a big sacrifice. This shows he is rejecting the idea of being someone else's puppet. Earlier, in The Flash TV show, Captain Cold also said "No strings on me" to Barry Allen.
