Ian Callanan (born March 17, 1971, in Cork, Ireland) is a talented composer. He writes music for Catholic church services and modern Christian songs. He is well known for his hymns like "Comfort My People" and "Take and Eat, This is my Body."

Ian Callanan is one of Ireland's top composers of church music. He grew up in Cork and has been involved with church music his whole life. He has been writing music for over 20 years. Recently, he released his first album with GIA Publications in the United States.
