Ian Robert Lacey (born on 25 November 1984) is an Australian former professional rugby league player. He played as a forward for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL). Later, he also played for the Ipswich Jets in the Queensland Cup.

Playing Career Highlights

Ian Lacey started his top-level rugby league journey with the Brisbane Broncos. He made his first-grade debut in 2006. This exciting first game was against the Sydney Roosters. The Broncos won that match with a score of 24-6.

After playing for the Broncos, Ian Lacey joined the Ipswich Jets in 2008. The Jets are a team in the Queensland Cup, which is a strong competition.

Later, the Gold Coast Titans gave Lacey a chance to play in the NRL again. He signed with them for the 2009 NRL season. However, he did not get to play any first-grade games for the Titans.

In 2012, Ian Lacey played for the Queensland Murri representative side. This team played against the USA Tomahawks in Hawaii. The Murris won the game with a big score of 72-18.

Ian Lacey decided to retire from rugby league in 2013. He had played 154 games in the Queensland Cup. He also played 23 games in the NRL. He retired because of a neck injury that kept bothering him.
