Iben Hjejle (born March 22, 1971) is a talented Danish actress. She became well-known for her role in the movie High Fidelity (2000), directed by Stephen Frears. In her home country of Denmark, many people know her from the TV show Langt fra Las Vegas (which means Far from Las Vegas). Iben Hjejle appeared in several films early in her career. These include Portland (1996) and Mifune's Last Song (1999). She also acted in The Emperor's New Clothes (2002). Later, she was in Dreaming of Julia and Flickering Lights, both released in 2003.

Stephen Frears offered Iben Hjejle a part in his movie High Fidelity (2000). In this film, she played Laura, the girlfriend of the character played by John Cusack. Years later, in 2008, Frears asked her to be in his film Chéri. That same year, she also worked on the movie Defiance with actor Daniel Craig. In 2009, she filmed The Eclipse.
Television Work
Iben Hjejle was part of the popular Danish TV series Anna Pihl for three seasons. In 2012, she got the main role in the crime show Dicte. This show started in early 2013. While the show had mixed reviews, Iben Hjejle's acting was highly praised.
She also had a role in Lars von Trier's movie Direktøren for det hele (2006), also known as The Boss of It All.
Recent Achievements
