Igor Yuryevich Nikolayev (Russian: И́горь Ю́рьевич Никола́ев; born on January 17, 1960) is a famous Russian composer, singer, and songwriter. He is well-known for creating many popular songs and performing them himself, as well as writing for other famous artists.

About Igor Nikolayev

Igor Nikolayev was born in Kholmsk, a town in Sakhalin Oblast, Russia. His father, Yury Nikolayev, was a poet who wrote about the sea. Igor studied music at the Moscow Institute of Culture, where he learned about pop music composition.

In the early 1980s, Igor worked with the famous singer Alla Pugacheva in her band "Recital." He played keyboards and helped arrange music. In 1983, Alla Pugacheva and Igor Nikolayev created songs like "Iceberg" and "Tell, Birds!" These songs became very popular and made Igor a well-known songwriter.

Igor Nikolayev has two daughters. His first daughter, Yulia Igorevna Nikolaeva, is from his first marriage. His second daughter, Veronika Igorevna Nikolaeva, is from his marriage to singer Yulia Proskuryakova.
