Natalia Vladimirovna Poryvay (Russian: Ната́лия Влади́мировна Порыва́й; Ukrainian: Наталія Володимирівна Порива́й, romanizedNataliia Volodymyrivna Poryvai; born 31 May 1973), known as Natasha Korolyova (Russian: Наташа Королёва), is a famous Russian pop singer. She was honored as a Meritorious Artist of Russia in 2004. This means she was recognized for her great achievements in art.

Early Life and Career Start

Natasha Korolyova was born in Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine. She first performed in public when she was only three years old. This was in 1976, and she sang a song called The Cruiser Aurora.

In 1985, when Natasha was 12, she recorded some songs. These included "World Without Miracles" and "Where Went the Circus." These songs became very popular in Ukraine. In 1987, she won a music award called the Golden Kamerton prize. From 1988 to 1991, she studied singing at a special school in Kyiv.

First International Steps

Natasha Korolyova first performed outside her home country in 1989. She traveled to the United States for these shows. Soon after, she moved to Moscow, a big city in Russia.

She took part in many music shows and TV programs. One of her most famous songs, Yellow Tulips, was recorded in 1990. This song helped her become famous in the Soviet Union and other countries. It even reached the finals of a big music festival called Pesnya goda.

In 1992, Natasha Korolyova went on her first concert tour across Russia. Her tour ended with large shows at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow. She also performed in Israel in 1993 and Germany in 1994. In 1997, she performed in New York City.

Natasha Korolyova has a sister named Russya. Russya is also a successful singer in Ukraine. Natasha's first husband was a well-known Russian singer and songwriter, Igor Nikolayev. She is now married to Sergei Glushko. They have a son named Arkhip.

Between 1990 and 1997, Natasha Korolyova made many music videos. Some of her popular videos were for songs like Yellow Tulips, First Kiss, and Small Country. These videos helped her songs become even more popular.

After she and Igor Nikolayev divorced, she released new albums. These albums included Fragments of the Past, Heart, and Paradise Where Are You.

Natasha Korolyova also hosted and led many TV shows and concerts. She took part in popular TV shows like Dancing with the Stars in both Russia and Ukraine. She also appeared on a show called Two Stars.

Other Activities

Natasha Korolyova has also acted in a few films. These include Recipe Witch and The Cheerful Family 2. The second film was made for Ukrainian television. She has also designed jewelry. In 2008, she released her own jewelry collection called Daughters-Mothers.

In 2018, Natasha Korolyova was not allowed to enter Ukraine for three years. This was because of her public statements about the annexation of Crimea by Russia. Crimea is a region that is currently disputed between Russia and Ukraine. Korolyova tried to appeal this decision in 2018, but the Supreme Court of Ukraine upheld the ban.
