Natalia Vladimirovna Poryvay (Russian: Ната́лия Влади́мировна Порыва́й; Ukrainian: Наталія Володимирівна Порива́й, romanizedNataliia Volodymyrivna Poryvai), known as Natasha Korolyova (Russian: Наташа Королёва), is a famous Russian pop singer. She was born on May 31, 1973. In 2004, she received the title of Meritorious Artist of Russia, which is a special honor for artists.

Early Music Career

Natasha Korolyova was born in Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine. She started performing very early, at just three years old, singing a song called The Cruiser Aurora at a big meeting in 1976.

When she was 12, in 1985, Natasha recorded some songs like "World Without Miracles." These songs became very popular in Ukraine. In 1987, she won a music award called the Golden Kamerton prize. From 1988 to 1991, she studied singing at the Kyiv-pop circus school.

First International Performances

Natasha Korolyova first performed outside her home country in 1989, when she visited the United States. Soon after, she moved to Moscow, Russia. She took part in many music competitions and TV shows, including Christmas Meeting.

In 1990, she recorded the song Yellow Tulips. This song became a huge hit and made her famous in the USSR and around the world. It even reached the finals of the Pesnya goda music festival.

In 1992, Natasha went on her first concert tour across Russia. Her tour ended with big shows at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow. She also performed in Israel in 1993 and Germany in 1994. In 1997, she performed in New York City.

Natasha Korolyova's Family Life

Natasha Korolyova has a sister named Russya, who is also a successful singer in Ukraine. Natasha's first husband was Igor Nikolayev, a well-known Russian singer and songwriter.

She is now married to Sergei Glushko, who is a performer known by his stage name 'Tarzan'. Natasha and Sergei have a son named Arkhip.

Mainstream Success and Other Work

Between 1990 and 1997, Natasha Korolyova created twelve music videos for her songs. Some of these include Yellow Tulips (1990), Kyiv Boy (1993), Sunflowers (1995), and Small Country.

After her marriage to Igor Nikolayev ended, she released several new albums. These included Fragments of the Past, Heart, Believe It or Not, and Paradise Where Are You.

Natasha has also hosted many television shows and concerts. She participated in popular TV shows like Dancing with the Stars in both Russia and Ukraine. Her husband, Sergei Glushko, was her partner on these shows.

Acting and Other Projects

Natasha Korolyova has also acted in several films. These include Recipe Witch and The Cheerful Family 2, which was made for Ukrainian television.

Beyond music and acting, Natasha has also designed jewelry. In 2008, she launched her own collection called Daughters-Mothers. In 2009, she published a book about a performer's life.

In 2018, Natasha Korolyova was not allowed to enter Ukraine for three years. This decision was made because of her public statements. She appealed this decision in 2018, but the Supreme Court of Ukraine upheld the ban.
