Ilian Stoyanov (Bulgarian: Илиaн Стоянов) was born on January 20, 1977. He is a former professional Bulgarian football defender. In Bulgaria, he was also known as Collovati. This nickname came from his haircut, which reminded people of a famous Italian midfielder named Fulvio Collovati.

Playing Career
Ilian Stoyanov started his football journey as a professional player in 1995. He began with the team CSKA Sofia. Early in his career, he often played as a left-back.
Bulgarian Clubs
Stoyanov became well-known while playing for Velbazhd Kyustendil. He then moved to Levski Sofia. He played in over 150 matches in Bulgaria's top football league. During his time in Bulgarian football, he was known as a very skilled defender.
He was also part of the Bulgaria national team. He played for his country in the 2004 European Football Championship. Bulgaria finished at the bottom of their group in that tournament. In 2009, he returned to the national team. He played in seven games for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification matches.
Playing in Japan
In 2005, Ilian Stoyanov moved to Japan. He joined the team JEF United Chiba. He had a very good first season there. He helped his new club win the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup. This was the first trophy the club had ever won! They won it again the next year, in 2006.
JEF United Chiba released him in July 2007. On August 12, 2007, he signed with another Japanese club, Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Even though his team was moved down to a lower league (J2) that season, he still helped them achieve great things. He helped Sanfrecce Hiroshima reach the final of the Emperor's Cup in 2007. He also helped them win the Xerox Super Cup in 2008.
After playing for Sanfrecce Hiroshima, he joined Fagiano Okayama in 2011. He played 26 games for them before he retired from professional football.
Life After Football
After he stopped playing football, Ilian Stoyanov started his own business in Japan. He is also involved in a football academy. This academy helps young players learn and improve their football skills.
