Ilian Stoyanov (born January 20, 1977) is a former professional Bulgarian football defender. In Bulgaria, he is also known as Collovati. This nickname came from his haircut, which looked like that of former Italian football player Fulvio Collovati.

Early Career in Bulgaria
Stoyanov began his professional football journey with CSKA Sofia in 1995. He later became well-known while playing for Velbazhd Kyustendil. He also played for Levski Sofia. During his time in Bulgaria, he played over 150 matches in the top league. He was a very capable defender. Early in his career, he often played as a left-back.
Playing for the National Team
Ilian Stoyanov was part of the Bulgarian national team. He played in the 2004 European Football Championship. In this tournament, Bulgaria finished in the first round. He also played in seven games for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification in 2009.
Moving to Japan
In 2005, Stoyanov moved to Japan and joined JEF United Chiba. He had a great first season, helping his team win the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup. This was the club's very first trophy! They won it again the next year, in 2006.
In July 2007, he left JEF United Chiba. On August 12, 2007, he signed with another Japanese club, Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Even though his new team went down to a lower league (J2) that season, he helped them reach the final of the Emperor's Cup in 2007. He also helped them win the Xerox Super Cup in 2008.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2011, Ilian Stoyanov played for Fagiano Okayama before retiring from professional football. After he stopped playing, Stoyanov started his own business in Japan. He is also involved in a football academy, helping young players learn the game.
