Imljani (Serbian Cyrillic: Имљани) is a small village located in Republika Srpska, which is a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It belongs to the Kneževo area. For many years, since 1954, Imljani was known as one of the local communities within the former Šiprage Municipality.

Exploring Imljani's Location

Imljani is nestled on a lower part of the Vlašić mountain plateau. Imagine a flat, high area of land! This village spreads out above the deep canyons of the Ilomska and Ugar rivers. It's like it sits right in the corner formed by two big rock formations called Korićanske stijene and Ugarske stijene.

Village Parts and Hamlets

The central part of Imljani is a hamlet called Vidovište. A hamlet is a very small settlement, often just a few houses. Vidovište is about 1,200 meters (or around 3,900 feet) above sea level.

Around Vidovište, you'll find other smaller hamlets. To the northeast, there are places like Rijeka, Potok, Ponorci, Osredok, Benići, Škeljići, Pušići, Marići, Đenići, and Đekin Do. To the southwest, you can find Vujinovići, Makarići, Kelemeni, Novakovići, Šodolovići, and Borje. Each of these is a small group of homes making up part of the larger village of Imljani.
