Indian Camp Creek is a small stream in the state of Missouri, United States. It flows through parts of Warren County and St. Charles County. This creek is a smaller branch that eventually flows into a larger waterway called Big Creek.

The Journey of Indian Camp Creek

Indian Camp Creek begins its journey in northeast Warren County. Its starting point, also known as its headwaters, is located just south of Interstate 70. This is about 1.5 miles east of the town of Truesdale.

Where the Creek Flows

As it flows, the creek moves generally north and east. It passes underneath Missouri Route J. Further along its path, the creek forms a small lake or pond. This happens just south of the Incline Village Golf Course, right at the border between Warren and St. Charles counties.

After this point, the creek turns north again. It then joins Big Creek. This meeting point is near the border of St. Charles and Lincoln counties. It is also just west of US Route 61.

How Indian Camp Creek Got Its Name

The name Indian Camp Creek has an interesting history. It was given this name because there used to be an Indian settlement very close to the creek. This means that Native American people once lived or camped near its banks.
