Indian Springs Village is a small town in Shelby County, Alabama, in the United States. It is part of the larger Birmingham metropolitan area. The town officially became a town on November 14, 1990.
In 2010, about 2,363 people lived here. By 2020, the population grew to 2,481 residents.
Indian Springs Village has experienced strong winds from tornadoes. On March 27, 1994, an F2 tornado hit the area. This tornado caused damage to businesses in Indian Springs and nearby towns like Pelham. Another tornado struck on March 25, 2021. This one was an EF2 tornado, which damaged homes and knocked down trees. It even became an EF3 tornado northeast of the town.
Town Location and Features
Indian Springs Village is located at 33°22′5″N 86°44′28″W / 33.36806°N 86.74111°W. The town covers an area of about 3.6 square miles (9.3 square kilometers), and all of it is land.
A special school called Indian Springs School is located within the town. It is a private school for students in grades 8 through 12. Students can attend during the day or live at the school as boarding students.

Michael McCullers grew up in Indian Springs. He is a well-known writer and director. He wrote and directed the 2008 movie Baby Mama. He also used to write for the TV show Saturday Night Live. Plus, he helped write the movie Austin Powers in Goldmember with Mike Myers.
