Inka (drink) facts for kids
Inka is a popular Polish roasted grain drink. It was first created in the late 1960s. Since 1971, Inka has been made in a town called Skawina. This town has been known for making coffee since the early 1900s. Today, a company named GRANA Sp. Z O.O. produces Inka.
In the 1970s, Inka was often used as a coffee substitute. This helped people when there wasn't enough real coffee. Inka is still very popular today. One big reason for its popularity is that it has no caffeine. This means it won't make you feel jittery like coffee can. Inka is even sent to other countries like Canada and the United States. There, it's sold as Naturalis Inka. Its packaging looks similar to how it was sold in Poland in the early 1990s.
What is Inka Made Of?
Inka is made from a special mix of roasted ingredients. These include rye, barley, chicory, and sugar beet. Grains like rye and barley make up most of the drink, about 72% of it! The classic version of Inka has no artificial ingredients or extra additives. This makes it a very natural drink. Some other types of Inka might have added vitamins or different flavors.
