Inma Shara (whose full name is Inmaculada Lucia Saratxaga) is a famous Spanish conductor. She was born in 1972 in Amurrio, Spain. A conductor is someone who leads an orchestra or a group of musicians. Inma Shara started learning music when she was just 4 years old. She became a professional conductor at the age of 27.

A Talented Conductor

Inma Shara has worked with many top orchestras around the world. These include the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. She has also conducted the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. She has even worked with famous musicians like Mischa Maisky and Shlomo Mintz.

Special Performances

Inma Shara has led some very important concerts. She conducted a concert in Madrid where Queen Sofía was present. In December 2008, she led a concert for over 7,000 people in the Vatican City. This concert was held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Inma Shara was the first woman to conduct such a large event at the Vatican.

Awards and Recognition

Inma Shara has received many honors for her work. She was given the European Excellence prize. She was also named an "Spain Brand Honorary Ambassador." This means she helps represent Spain's leading brands around the world. In 2010, she was invited to conduct a concert at the World Expo in Shanghai. She led the European Union Youth Orchestra for Europe Day.
