Irizar Group is a company from Spain that makes fancy buses and coaches. It started a long time ago, in 1889. The company's main home is in Ormaiztegi, a town in the Basque Country, Spain.
Irizar sells its buses in more than 90 countries around the world. In 2017, they made over 600 million euros! Irizar is the top company in Spain for making bus bodies. They make more than 40% of all bus bodies there. They are also the second biggest in Europe.
Besides their main factory in the Basque Country, Irizar also has factories in other countries. These include Skhirat (Morocco), Botucatu (Brazil), Querétaro (México), and Centurion (South Africa). Together, all their factories make over 3,500 bus bodies and complete buses each year.
The Irizar group also owns other companies. These include Hispacold, which makes air conditioning systems for buses, and Masats, which makes automatic doors and ramps for buses.
Irizar works closely with other big companies like Scania. They even designed a bus body called the i4 together. You can also find Irizar bus bodies on vehicles made by other companies, such as Iveco, MAN, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz.
