About Isabel Rábago
Isabel Rábago comes from a family in Cantabria, a region in Spain. She was born in Ferrol by chance but grew up mostly in El Astillero. When she was 19, in 1993, she won the title of Miss Cantabria. This allowed her to compete in the Miss Spain beauty contest that same year.
Her Career in Journalism
Isabel started her career as a journalist at an agency called Korpa. Soon after, she began working on and even hosting TV shows that talked about celebrity news and current topics. She worked for many well-known Spanish TV channels like TVE, Telemadrid, Telecinco, and Antena 3. She also wrote for newspapers and magazines, including ¡Qué me dices! and El Mundo.
Besides her TV work, Isabel Rábago has also written books. She is the author of two books: "... cortesanas" and "La Pantoja, Julián & CIA: asalto a Marbella".
TV Shows and Reality Competitions
In 2015, Isabel took part in Supervivientes, a reality show where contestants live on an island. She was the third person to leave the island after 28 days. After that, she continued to appear on many shows for Mediaset España, a big media company. Some of these shows include Ya es mediodía, Viva la vida, and La casa fuerte.
In September 2021, she joined another reality show as a contestant, Secret Story: La casa de los secretos.
Working in Politics
In 2018, Isabel Rábago also worked in politics. She became the head of communication and media for the Partido Popular in Madrid. In this role, she was in charge of managing the party's relationship with the media. She worked closely with Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who was a leader in the party's communication team. Isabel stayed in this political role until October 2019.
