Islandale is a small, unincorporated community located in San Juan County, in the state of Washington, USA. An unincorporated community means it is not officially a city or town with its own local government.
A Look Back: Islandale's History
Islandale got its name because it is located on Lopez Island. In 1910, a post office opened here. This post office helped people send and receive mail. It stayed open for about seven years. The post office closed its doors in 1917.
