Discover the Story: What's It About?
The show follows a brave and tomboyish girl named Leslie McGroarty. She becomes best friends with a unique four-eyed spider named Itsy. Their adventures often involve two main challenges. One is the Exterminator, who tries to get rid of Itsy. The other is Leslie's teacher, Adrienne, who also causes trouble. The series mainly focuses on the Exterminator's funny and unsuccessful attempts to catch Itsy.
Meet the Characters: Who's Who?
- Leslie McGroarty (voiced by Francesca Marie Smith) – Leslie is a sweet and playful city girl. She has a big imagination and loves many activities. These include biking, skateboarding, and even karate. She also enjoys bugs and candy. Leslie is a tomboy with short black hair. She wears round glasses, a light blue dress, white socks, and black shoes. Leslie has a special power: she can shrink herself to the size of a bug! She is the main hero of the show.
- Itsy Bitsy (voiced by Frank Welker) – Itsy Bitsy is a friendly country spider. He is Leslie's very best friend. Itsy Bitsy was also the main character in the original short film. In one episode, we learn Itsy was a baby living in the countryside with his parents. Frank Welker also voices Adrienne's mischievous orange cat, Langston.
- Adrienne Van Leydon (voiced by Charlotte Rae) – Adrienne is the main villain of the series. She often tries to make things difficult for Leslie and Itsy.
- George (voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas) – George is a boy Leslie likes in the show.
