Ivan "Ivica" Vdović (Serbian Cyrillic: Иван "Ивица" Вдовић; born March 14, 1961 – died September 25, 1992), also known as Vd (Serbian Cyrillic: Вд), was a talented Serbian musician. He was a drummer for several important Yugoslav rock bands. These included Suncokret, Šarlo Akrobata, and Katarina II.

Ivan Vdović: A Music Pioneer
Ivan Vdović was a key figure in the music scene of former Yugoslavia. He helped start the new wave music style. This made him one of the most important cultural reformers in music.
His Early Music Journey
When Ivan Vdović was in high school, he joined a band called Limunovo drvo. This band was led by Milan Mladenović, another famous musician. Later, Vdović played drums for the band Suncokret. This group had well-known members like Bilja Krstić and Gorica Popović.
In the early 1980s, he also played briefly with a band called Annoda Rouge. This project included Goran Vejvoda and Bebi Dol on vocals. This band did not release any official music.
Joining Famous Bands
Vdović became very well known as the drummer for Šarlo Akrobata. The other two members of this band were Milan Mladenović and Dušan Kojić. He was with Šarlo Akrobata from April 1980 to October 1981.
After that, he and Milan Mladenović formed a new band called Katarina II. They were joined by Bojan Pečar, Gagi Mihajlović, and Margita Stefanović. Later, Gagi Mihajlović left the band. The group then changed its name to Ekatarina Velika. Ivan Vdović stayed with them until 1985.
Later Life and Legacy
Sadly, Ivan Vdović faced a serious illness. He passed away on September 25, 1992, in Belgrade. He is buried there.
Vdović is remembered as a very important musician. He helped shape the sound of rock music in his time. His drumming style and involvement in key bands left a lasting mark on music history.
