According to a count done in 2010, there were 551 people living in Ivanhoe. Most of the people were White (about 97%). A smaller number were American Indian or Alaska Native, or from other backgrounds. About 1.5% of the people were of Hispanic or Latino heritage.

A Glimpse into Ivanhoe's Past

Ivanhoe has an interesting history. It was the birthplace of a unique person named Robert Sayers Sheffey. He was a Methodist preacher who traveled around a lot, sharing his faith. People remembered him for his unusual ways and strong beliefs.

For many years, Ivanhoe was also known for its rock quarry and mines. These places helped provide materials like rocks and minerals. However, by 2018, these operations were no longer active.
