Izet Hajrović (born August 4, 1991) is a professional football player. He plays as a winger, which is a type of midfielder. Izet was born in Switzerland. He played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Izet started his professional career at Grasshoppers. In 2014, he moved to Galatasaray in Turkey. Later that year, he joined Werder Bremen in Germany. He was loaned to Eibar in Spain in 2015. In 2018, he signed with Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. He then joined Aris in Greece in 2021.
Izet played for Switzerland's youth teams. He also played one senior game for Switzerland. In 2013, he decided to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He played over 20 games for them until 2019. He even represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at their first big tournament, the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Playing for Clubs
Starting His Career
Izet Hajrović began playing football at local clubs. In 2000, he joined the youth academy of Grasshoppers. He made his first professional appearance for Grasshoppers on October 3, 2009. He was 18 years old at the time.
On September 19, 2010, he scored two goals in a game. These were his first professional goals. He scored his first hat-trick (three goals in one game) on September 17, 2011.
Time at Galatasaray
In January 2014, Izet moved to the Turkish team Galatasaray. He played his first official game for them on February 2. A few days later, on February 5, he scored his first goal for Galatasaray. This goal was in a Turkish Cup match.
Izet also played in the UEFA Champions League for Galatasaray. This is a very important European club competition. He won his first trophy with Galatasaray on May 7, 2014. They won the Turkish Cup final.
Playing for Werder Bremen
In July 2014, Izet signed a four-year contract with Werder Bremen in Germany. He played his first game for them on August 17. He even scored a goal in that game. A week later, he played his first league game. On April 26, 2015, he scored his first league goal for the team.
In August 2015, Izet was sent on loan to Eibar in Spain for one season.
In December 2016, he got a serious knee injury. Doctors said it was an anterior cruciate ligament tear. This meant he could not play for at least six months. He returned to playing football on September 1, 2017, after more than eight months.
Moving to Dinamo Zagreb
In January 2018, Izet joined Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. He signed a deal until June 2019. He played his first official game for them on February 10. On April 4, he scored his first goal for Dinamo Zagreb in a Croatian Cup game.
He won his first title with Dinamo Zagreb on May 20, 2018. They became the league champions. On February 2, 2019, he scored two goals in a league game. In July, he signed a new contract with the team until June 2021.
Joining Aris
In June 2021, Izet Hajrović joined Aris, a team in Greece. He signed a three-year contract. He played his first competitive game for Aris on July 22. This was a UEFA Conference League qualifier match. Seven weeks later, he played his first league game for Aris.
Playing for His Country

Izet Hajrović played for Switzerland at different youth levels. He made his first senior international appearance for Switzerland on November 14, 2012. This was in a friendly game. However, in July 2013, he decided he wanted to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In August, FIFA (the world football organization) approved his request to change which country he played for. Later that month, he was called up to the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior team.
