J. F. Oberlin University (桜美林大学, Ōbirin daigaku) is a private university in Machida, Tokyo, Japan. It is a place where students can learn many different subjects. The university was started by Yasuzo Shimizu in 1921.
The university's name comes from J. F. Oberlin. He was a kind pastor and philanthropist. A philanthropist is someone who helps others. The name also shows a link to Oberlin College in Ohio, USA. The university's founder, Yasuzo Shimizu, studied there.
