Nahum Thorton Grymes (born November 29, 1984), known as J. Holiday, is an American R&B singer and rapper. He is famous for his 2007 song "Bed". This song became very popular, reaching high on the music charts.
His first album, Back of My Lac', came out in 2007. It also did very well on the charts. His second album, Round 2, was released in 2009. J. Holiday has continued to make music, releasing his third album, Guilty Conscience, in 2014. His fourth album, Time, was released in 2022.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Nahum Thorton Grymes was born in Washington, D.C.. His mother raised him in Washington, D.C., and Alexandria, Virginia. His mother made sure he went to school and church.
J. Holiday showed his singing talent in high school. He enjoyed listening to artists like Marvin Gaye and Boyz II Men. After finishing school, he started recording his own songs.

Back of My Lac Album (2007)
J. Holiday signed with Capitol Records in 2006. He released his first album, Back of My Lac', in October 2007. The album was very successful, selling many copies in its first week. It reached number 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the U.S.
The song "Bed" was the second single from this album. It became a huge hit, reaching number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Bed" was also number 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for five weeks. The music video for "Bed" was also very popular. His third single, "Suffocate", also had a music video filmed in Paris, France.
Round 2 Album (2009)
J. Holiday's second album, Round 2, came out on March 10, 2009. This album also did well, reaching number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The first song released from this album was "It's Yours". This song was popular on urban radio stations.
Guilty Conscience Album (2014)
After some changes with record labels, J. Holiday released his mixtape, M.I.A: The Lost Pages, in 2011. This was to promote his third album.
In 2012, he released the song "Sign My Name". He went on a "Sign My Name" Tour and also appeared in a movie called "School of HardKnocks". His third album, Guilty Conscience, was released on January 28, 2014. It reached number 42 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Time Album (2022)
On October 5, 2018, J. Holiday released a song called "25 to Life". He also announced that a new album, Time, was being made. Another song, "Feel Like", was released in 2019. He also started a tour called "Underrated Part I". The album Time was released on February 7, 2022.
