Jack David Laugher (pronounced "Law") is a famous British diver. He was born on January 30, 1995. Jack is known for his amazing skills on the springboard, competing in both individual and synchronized diving events. He has teamed up with other divers like Chris Mears, Daniel Goodfellow, and Anthony Harding.
Jack Laugher and Chris Mears made history at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. They became Britain's first Olympic diving champions by winning a gold medal in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard event. A week later, Jack won a silver medal in the individual 3-meter springboard at the same Games. This made him the first British diver to win more than one Olympic diving medal at a single Olympics! His silver medal is still the highest place a British diver has achieved individually at the Olympics.
Jack has also won many medals at the Commonwealth Games. He was a double champion in 2014 and 2022, and a triple champion in 2018. He was also the first British diver to win two medals at the same World Championships in 2015. In that same year, he won the overall title in the FINA Diving World Series for the 3-meter springboard.
