Jackie Robinson was a 6-foot-6-inch forward. He played college basketball at UNLV. After college, he joined the NBA.
Playing for Top Teams
From 1979 to 1981, Robinson played for three different NBA teams. These teams were the Seattle SuperSonics, the Detroit Pistons, and the Chicago Bulls. He was a part of the Seattle SuperSonics team that won the NBA Championship in 1979. This was a big achievement for him and his team! During his NBA career, he scored an average of 3.8 points per game.
Life After Basketball
After his time in the NBA, Jackie Robinson played basketball in Europe for five years. When he stopped playing, he took on important leadership roles in various companies in Las Vegas. These companies worked in different areas like stores, buildings, and even food and drinks.
Owning Basketball Teams
Jackie Robinson also became an owner of basketball teams. He owned the Las Vegas Silver Bandits and the Las Vegas Slam. These teams were part of different basketball leagues.
Building a Big Project in Las Vegas
More recently, Jackie Robinson has been working on a huge project in Las Vegas. It's called the All Net Resort and Arena. This project is planned to be a large complex with a hotel, shops, and a sports arena. The idea is that this arena could even attract a new NBA team to Nevada.
The project was approved in August 2014. Construction started in March 2017. There were plans to add an even taller tower to the site. However, as of 2025, construction on the All Net Resort and Arena has stopped.
