Jackie Traina grew up in Naples, Florida. She went to Naples High School and played softball there. After high school, she went to the University of Alabama.
College Superstar
At the University of Alabama, Jackie became a star pitcher for the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team. They played in the tough Southeastern Conference. In 2012, Jackie led her team to win the 2012 Women's College World Series title. This is a huge championship for college softball teams.
Jackie was so good that she was named the 2012 Women's College World Series Most Outstanding Player. This award goes to the best player in the championship series.
