Jacob Pullen's College Basketball Career
Jacob Pullen started his college basketball journey with a bang! In his very first game against Sacramento State, he scored 18 points. He quickly became a key player for Kansas State, helping their team become much stronger. As a freshman, he played in almost every game. He even helped his team beat the #2 ranked Kansas team, scoring 20 points and making all his free throws!
In the 2008–09 season, Jacob started every game for the Wildcats. He scored his highest college points in a single game, 38 points, against Kansas in 2011. He was also great at stealing the ball and making three-pointers.
During the 2009–10 season, Jacob continued to play very well. He led Kansas State to a great record of 29 wins and 8 losses. He averaged 19.3 points per game. Jacob and his teammate Denis Clemente were a powerful duo. They helped the Wildcats reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. This is a very high level in college basketball! Jacob was also chosen for the All Big-12 Team.
As a senior, Jacob was named a Fourth Team All-American by Fox Sports. He is the all-time leading scorer for Kansas State University Men's Basketball. He finished his college career with an amazing 2,132 points!
Jacob Pullen's Professional Basketball Journey
Jacob Pullen was not chosen in the 2011 NBA draft. However, he quickly started his professional career.
Starting in Italy and Israel (2011–2013)
In July 2011, Jacob signed with Angelico Biella in Italy. The next year, he joined the Philadelphia 76ers for the NBA Summer League. In August 2012, he signed with Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel. He later returned to Italy to play for Virtus Bologna in March 2013.
Playing in Spain (2013–2014)
In August 2013, Jacob signed with FC Barcelona in Spain. On March 8, 2014, he set a new record in the Liga ACB (Spanish League). He scored 12 three-point field goals in one game! This helped Barcelona win the Spanish League championship in 2014.
Moving to China and Back to Europe (2014–2015)
In August 2014, Jacob signed with a team in China, but he left before the season started. He then went back to Spain to play for Baloncesto Sevilla. Later, in November 2014, he signed with New Basket Brindisi in Italy.
Playing in Croatia and Russia (2015–2017)
In August 2015, Jacob signed with Cedevita Zagreb in Croatia. He helped them win the Croatian League championship in 2016. He also won the Croatian Cup twice (2016, 2019). In September 2016, he joined Khimki in Russia for a season.
NBA and Other Leagues (2017–2018)
In September 2017, Jacob signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. He played a few games for them and also for their G League team, the Delaware 87ers. After leaving the 76ers, he played for Mahram Tehran in Iran. Then, he joined Afyon Belediye in Turkey and helped them get promoted to the top league.
Returning to Cedevita and Mornar (2018–2021)
In November 2018, Jacob returned to Cedevita Zagreb for a second time. In July 2019, he signed with Mornar Bar in Montenegro. He played well there, averaging 16 points per game during the 2020–21 season.
Slovenia and Kuwait (2021–2023)
In August 2021, Jacob signed with KK Cedevita Olimpija in Slovenia. He helped them win the Slovenian League and the Slovenian Cup in 2022. He then played for Kuwait SC in Kuwait.
Back to Italy (2023–Present)
In August 2023, Jacob signed with Napoli Basket in Italy. He helped them win the Italian Basketball Cup in 2024.
Playing for His Country
In August 2012, Jacob Pullen became a citizen of Georgia. This allowed him to play for the Georgian national team. He played for them in the EuroBasket 2013 tournament.
