Jacobbi McDaniel was born on October 8, 1989. He is a former American football player who played as a defensive tackle. He played college football for the Florida State University Seminoles. He also played professionally for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL).
Early Life and High School Sports
Jacobbi McDaniel grew up playing both high school football and baseball. He attended Madison County High School in Madison, Florida. He was very good at both sports!
In baseball, Jacobbi was named to the first-team Big Bend list during his junior and senior years. He was also honored as a first-team All-State player in his senior year. As a junior, he almost achieved the "triple crown" in baseball, hitting an amazing .589 with 13 home runs.
Jacobbi was also a star in football. He was named the 2008–09 Gatorade Player of the Year for football in Florida. He also earned first-team Big Bend honors in his senior year. He was recognized as an All-American by both USA Today and the Under Armour All-America Game. Because of his baseball talent, the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team even drafted him in 2009 as a third baseman.
College Football Journey
After high school, Jacobbi McDaniel chose to focus on football. He joined the Florida State Seminoles football team. He played for the Seminoles from 2009 to 2013.
Professional Football Career
After his college career, Jacobbi McDaniel hoped to play in the NFL. He was not chosen in the 2014 NFL draft, but he still got a chance.
He signed with the Cleveland Browns on May 19, 2014. He worked hard and was later added to the team's main roster. Jacobbi made his first NFL appearance on October 19, 2014, playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He spent some time moving between the Browns' main team and their practice squad.
Later, on January 9, 2017, Jacobbi McDaniel joined the Cleveland Gladiators. This team plays in the Arena Football League (AFL).
