Jacobbi McDaniel (born October 8, 1989) is an American who used to play professional American football. He was a defensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL). Before playing professionally, he played college football at Florida State University.

Early Life and High School Sports
Jacobbi McDaniel grew up in Madison, Florida. He was a talented athlete at Madison County High School. He played both football and baseball.
Baseball Achievements
In baseball, Jacobbi was a star player. He was named to the first-team Big Bend list in his junior and senior years. This means he was one of the best players in his area. In his senior year, he also earned first-team All-State honors, showing he was one of the top players in all of Florida. As a junior, he almost achieved the "triple crown" in baseball. He hit an amazing .589 (meaning he got a hit almost 60% of the time he batted) and hit 13 home runs. Because of his skills, the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team drafted him in 2009. He was listed as a third baseman at the time.
Football Achievements
Jacobbi was also excellent at football. In his senior year, he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for football in Florida. This is a big award given to the best high school athletes. He also received first-team Big Bend honors for football. He was recognized as an All-American by both USA Today and the Under Armour All-America Game.
College Football Career
After high school, Jacobbi McDaniel played college football for the Florida State Seminoles. He was part of their team from 2009 to 2013.
Professional Football Career
Jacobbi McDaniel began his professional football journey in 2014.
Joining the Cleveland Browns
Even though he was not chosen in the 2014 NFL draft, Jacobbi signed with the Cleveland Browns on May 19, 2014. He was later released by the Browns in August 2014. However, he was quickly signed to their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster.
Jacobbi was moved to the active roster on October 18, 2014. He made his first NFL appearance on October 19, 2014, playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released again shortly after but continued to be signed to the Browns' practice squad multiple times throughout 2014. He was finally released by the Browns in September 2015.
Playing for the Cleveland Gladiators
In 2017, Jacobbi McDaniel joined the Cleveland Gladiators. This team plays in the Arena Football League (AFL), which is a different type of football played indoors on a smaller field. He was assigned to the Gladiators on January 9, 2017.
