Jadranka Stojaković (Serbian Cyrillic: Јадранка Стојаковић, 24 July 1950 – 3 May 2016) was a famous singer and songwriter from Bosnia. She was very popular in the area that used to be Yugoslavia. People loved her unique voice and the beautiful songs she wrote. Some of her most famous hits include "Sve smo mogli mi," "Što te nema," and "Bistre vode Bosnom teku."

Her Life Story
Jadranka Stojaković was born in Sarajevo. Her parents were both school teachers. When she was very young, her family lived in a small village near Bosanski Novi.
Her parents later divorced, and Jadranka moved back to Sarajevo with her mother. For several years, they moved around a lot. Her mother found work in different towns across Yugoslavia, like Dubrovnik and Vareš. Young Jadranka spent a big part of her childhood in villages around Sarajevo.
Starting Her Music Career
When Jadranka was 16, she joined her uncle Vukašin Radulović's jazz band. She performed with them all over Yugoslavia and in other parts of Europe, especially Germany.
In 1981, she sang backup for the Yugoslav representative Vajta at the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest in Ireland. This was a big event where countries compete with their songs.
Olympic Theme Song and Awards
Jadranka sang the official theme song for the 1984 Winter Olympics. These Olympic Games were held in her hometown of Sarajevo. Around that time, she was recognized as the best artist in Yugoslavia.
Life in Japan and Illness
Jadranka lived in Japan for many years, from 1988 until 2011. In 2009, she had an accident on stage during a concert. She tripped over a cable.
Later, she was diagnosed with a serious illness called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This is a disease that affects the nerves and muscles.
After her accident, Jadranka moved back to Bosnia. She continued to bravely fight her illness. Even though she was sick, she was determined to keep creating music.
Later Years and Legacy
After returning from Japan, Jadranka performed some concerts in 2011. She also started working at the Radio Televizija Republike Srpske (RTRS) music production in Banja Luka. In 2013, RTRS released a collection of her songs called Boje zvuka.
As her illness got worse, Jadranka eventually moved into a nursing home in Banja Luka. She passed away there on May 3, 2016. She was buried on May 9, 2016, in Vrbanja, a suburb of Banja Luka.
