Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty (born June 16, 2004) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Charlotte FC. He is currently on loan from CF Montréal.

Early Life and Youth Soccer

Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty started playing soccer when he was seven years old. He joined a team called Brampton East SC. Later, he played for the Rush Canada Academy.

From 2016 to 2019, he played for the Toronto FC Academy. He played for different age groups there, showing his talent from a young age.

Club Career

Playing for Toronto FC

Jahkeele signed with Toronto FC II on December 17, 2018. This made him the youngest player to sign a "homegrown" contract with the club. He played his first professional game for Toronto FC II in June 2019.

On January 22, 2020, Jahkeele joined the main Toronto FC team in MLS. He was only 15 years old, making him the youngest player ever to sign a first-team contract with the club. He made his first appearance for Toronto FC on October 24, becoming the youngest player to ever play for the team.

He also spent some time on loan back with Toronto FC II in 2021. During this time, he scored his first goal for Toronto FC II in June 2021.

Moving to CF Montréal

In August 2024, Jahkeele moved to CF Montréal, which is another team in the MLS. He played 15 games for them.

Loan to Charlotte FC

In April 2025, Jahkeele was loaned to Charlotte FC. He will play for them for the rest of the 2025 season.

International Soccer

Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty has also played for his country, Canada. He was first called up to the Canada national under-15 team in 2019.

In January 2021, he was called up to the senior national team. This was a big moment because he became the youngest player ever to be called up to the senior team. He broke the record previously held by famous player Alphonso Davies.
