Randall Jai Miller (born January 17, 1985) is a former American baseball player. He was an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for the Florida Marlins, Kansas City Royals, and Oakland Athletics. Before playing baseball, he also played American football for the University of Alabama's football team.

Jai Miller's Baseball Journey
Jai Miller started his professional baseball journey right after high school. He was chosen by the Florida Marlins in the 2003 baseball draft.
Playing for the Florida Marlins
Miller began his professional career in 2003 with a team called the Jamestown Jammers. He played 11 games that year.
In 2004 and 2005, he played for the Greensboro Bats (later called the Greensboro Grasshoppers). He hit 12 home runs in 2004 and 13 home runs in 2005.
In 2006, Miller played for the Jupiter Hammerheads. His home run numbers dropped that year.
He moved up to a higher level of minor league baseball in 2007. Playing for the Carolina Mudcats, he had his best year yet. He hit 14 home runs and had 58 RBIs. He also played in 129 games, which was a career high.
Miller got to play his first game in Major League Baseball with the Florida Marlins in 2008. He played in just one game that season.
Time with the Oakland Athletics
The Oakland Athletics picked up Miller in April 2010. He was sent to their Triple-A team, the Sacramento River Cats.
Playing for the Kansas City Royals
Soon after, in April 2010, the Kansas City Royals acquired Miller. As a Royal in 2010, he got his first hit in a major league game. He played 20 games with the Royals, hitting 1 home run and getting 4 RBIs.
Back with the Oakland Athletics
On December 17, 2010, the Oakland Athletics signed Miller again. He spent most of 2011 playing for their Triple-A team, the Sacramento River Cats. He had a great year, hitting 32 home runs and getting 88 RBIs in 110 games.
Because of his strong performance, Miller was called up to play for the Oakland Athletics again on September 11, 2011. He played in 7 games, hitting 1 home run and getting 2 RBIs.
With the Baltimore Orioles
On January 3, 2012, Miller was traded to the Baltimore Orioles. He became a free agent on October 6, 2012.
Return to College Football
On January 7, 2013, Jai Miller announced that he planned to play American football again. He returned to the University of Alabama to play for their football team.
