Jain Kim (Hangul: 김자인, born September 11, 1988) is a famous professional climber from South Korea. She is known for her amazing skills in competition climbing. This type of climbing involves athletes competing to climb difficult routes on artificial walls.

Jain Kim is especially good at two kinds of competition climbing: competition lead climbing and competition bouldering. In lead climbing, climbers try to reach the highest point on a tall wall while being attached to a rope. In bouldering, they climb shorter, harder routes without ropes, using thick mats for safety. She has won many big competitions, including the Lead Climbing World Cup three times and the Lead Climbing World Championship once. She has also won the Asian Championships a remarkable 14 times!

Besides competing indoors, Jain Kim has also climbed very difficult routes outdoors on real rock. In 2014, she successfully climbed two routes in Italy called Bibita Biologica and Reini's Vibes, which are known to be extremely challenging.

Jain Kim grew up in a family who loved mountains and climbing. She started climbing when she was 12 years old. By the age of 15, in 2004, she began competing in the Lead Climbing World Cup. Since 2006, she has also taken part in the Bouldering World Cup.

She quickly became a top climber. She won the Lead Climbing Asian Championship many times in her early career. In 2008, she also won the Bouldering Asian Championship. In 2009, she placed second in several major events, showing she was one of the best climbers in the world.

In 2010, Jain Kim won the Lead Climbing World Cup. She was first in five out of six events that year, which is a huge achievement! She won the Lead World Cup again in 2013 and 2014. In each of those years, she won four of the eight events.

In 2014, she achieved a special victory at the Lead Climbing World Championships. She managed to climb all the routes perfectly in the qualification, semifinal, and final rounds. This means she climbed them "on-sight," which is when a climber completes a route on their first try without any prior practice or knowledge of the moves.

Jain Kim has also done some amazing climbs outside of competitions. On May 20, 2017, she climbed the 555-meter Lotte World Tower in Seoul, a very tall skyscraper! More recently, in 2023, she won a Lead World Cup in France. This made her the oldest woman to win a Lead World Cup at 34 years old, showing her lasting talent.
