Early Years in Football

Jamar Adams went to David W. Butler High School. He was a fantastic player there for four years. As a safety and cornerback, he made 225 tackles. He also caught 23 interceptions, which means he grabbed the ball when the other team threw it. He even blocked a field goal once!

Jamar finished high school in 2004. Many top universities wanted him to play for their football teams. Experts thought he was one of the best safeties in his class.

College Football Career

Jamar Adams played football at the University of Michigan from 2004 to 2008. In his first year, 2004, he played in nine games. He mostly played on special teams, which are groups that play during kickoffs and punts. He also sometimes played as a backup defensive player.

His junior year in 2006 was even better. Jamar made 47 tackles and stopped the other team from gaining yards several times. He also caught one interception and broke up seven other passes. Because of his great play, he was named to the All-Big Ten Conference second-team.

In his final year, 2007, Jamar was again named to the All-Big Ten second-team. He helped Michigan win the 2008 Capitol One Bowl. He started all 13 games as a strong safety. Professional Football Career

Seattle Seahawks

After college, Jamar Adams was not chosen in the NFL draft. But the Seattle Seahawks signed him as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2008. This means they signed him even though no team picked him in the draft. Many experts thought he would be picked much earlier.

Jamar played well in the preseason games. This helped him earn a spot on the Seahawks' practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but don't usually play in games. Jamar spent most of his first year on the practice squad. However, he did play in one NFL game on November 16 against the Arizona Cardinals. He played on special teams in that game.

In 2009, Jamar was briefly released by the Seahawks. But they signed him back to the practice squad. Later, he was moved to the main team on November 3. He played in most of the remaining games that season. He made four tackles while playing on special teams.

Philadelphia Eagles

On September 22, 2010, Jamar Adams joined the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. He was released a week later. But the Eagles signed him back to their practice squad in December. On December 31, he was moved to the team's active roster. This meant he could play in games. However, he was released again on September 3, 2011, before the new season started.
