Jamareo "Jam" Artis is a talented American bass guitarist. He is well-known for playing bass for the famous pop superstar Bruno Mars. Jamareo also gained fame by winning P. Diddy's TV show, MTV Making His Band, in 2009.
In 2014, Jamareo worked with Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars on the super hit song "Uptown Funk". This song was incredibly popular, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and staying there for 14 weeks! Jamareo also appeared with Bruno Mars in the music video for "Uptown Funk". He was also in videos for other Mars songs like "Locked Out of Heaven", "Gorilla", "Treasure", "24K Magic", and "Finesse". He also toured with Bruno Mars on the 24K Magic World Tour.
Jamareo Artis has performed on many big television shows. These include the Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show and the Grammy Awards. He has also appeared on Saturday Night Live, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and the MTV Video Music Awards. Other shows he's been on are the Today Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also played bass on Keith Urban's song "Out the Cage" in 2020.

Jamareo Artis started playing the bass guitar when he was just 10 years old. He went to Ralph L. Fike High School and graduated in 2007. His early start helped him become the amazing musician he is today.
