James McCoy Jones is an African-American social psychologist. He studies how people think, feel, and act in social situations. He is also a scholar of cultural diversity. This means he studies how different cultures and backgrounds interact.
He is a very respected, retired professor at the University of Delaware. There, he taught about psychology and Black American Studies. He also directed the Center for the Study of Diversity. Before this, he taught at Harvard University and Howard University.
