Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins picked Jamil Douglas in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. This meant he was the 114th player chosen overall. In his first year, he played in all 16 regular-season games. He started six of those games.
In September 2016, the Dolphins released him. He then joined their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. He was briefly moved to the main team but then returned to the practice squad before being released in October 2016.
New England Patriots
In October 2016, Douglas joined the New England Patriots' practice squad. On February 5, 2017, the Patriots played in Super Bowl LI. They won the game against the Atlanta Falcons with a score of 34–28 in overtime. This made Jamil Douglas a Super Bowl champion!
After the Super Bowl, he signed a new contract with the Patriots. However, he was later released in September 2017.
Atlanta Falcons
In September 2017, Jamil Douglas was signed to the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad. He was moved to the main team in December 2017. He stayed with the Falcons until September 2018, when he was released.

Buffalo Bills
Jamil Douglas signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills in April 2021. He was released in August but then re-signed to their practice squad. He was promoted to the main team in November but was waived in December.
Washington Football Team
On December 13, 2021, the Washington Football Team picked up Douglas. This means they claimed him after he was waived by the Bills.
New York Giants
In March 2022, Douglas signed with the New York Giants. He was released by the Giants in August 2022.
