Jan Gerrit Henry Krajenbrink (born 16 July 1941 – died 29 June 2020) was a Dutch politician. A politician is someone who works in government. He belonged to two political parties: the Anti-Revolutionary Party (ARP) and later the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). For the CDA, he was a member of the House of Representatives from 1981 to 1994. This is like being a representative in a country's parliament. After that, he became the mayor of the town of Woudenberg until 2002.

Early Life and Education
Jan Krajenbrink was born in a place called Oostwold in the Netherlands. This was on 16 July 1941. He studied Law at the University of Groningen. He finished his studies in 1965.
Starting His Career
After university, Jan Krajenbrink started working for the government. He became a Deputy Inspector at a department called Dienst der Domeinen. This was his first step into public service.
Working with Political Parties
Three years later, he joined the Dr. Abraham Kuyper Foundation. This was a research office for the ARP political party. He played a big role in bringing together three different Christian political parties. These were the ARP, the KVP, and the CHU. They all joined to form a new, bigger party called the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). This was a difficult but important job.
From 1973, he was the general secretary of this new "federal CDA." He worked in this role until the three parties officially became one in October 1980.
Serving as a City Councilor
Before becoming a national politician, Jan Krajenbrink also worked at a local level. From 1975 to 1980, he was a city councilor in Bleiswijk. A city councilor helps make decisions for a town or city.
