Jana Rae Kramer (born December 2, 1983) is an American actress and country singer. She is best known for playing Alex Dupre on the TV show One Tree Hill.

Jana started her music career in 2012. She has released two albums: Jana Kramer (2012) and Thirty One (2015). Some of her popular songs include "Why Ya Wanna" and "I Got the Boy". She also competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2016, where she finished in fourth place.

Early Life and Background

Jana Kramer was born on December 2, 1983, in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Her parents are Nora and Martin Kramer. Her father has German roots. Jana went to Rochester Adams High School. She can speak some German. She has an older brother named Steve. He works as a sergeant at the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. After her parents divorced, she lived in Dearborn, Michigan for a while. When she was 18, she moved to California for two years. Later, she moved to Tennessee.

Starting as an Actress (2002–2011)

Jana Kramer began her acting career in 2002. Her first role was in a low-budget movie called Dead/Undead. The next year, she appeared on the TV show All My Children. This was her first time on television.

After that, Jana appeared in many other TV shows. These included CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and CSI: NY. She also had small roles in movies like Click and Prom Night.

In 2007, Jana had a recurring role on the TV show Friday Night Lights. She played Noelle Davenport in the show's second season. In 2008, she appeared in The CW show 90210. She played a high school student named Portia Ranson for six episodes. In 2009, Jana was also in the HBO show Entourage.

Becoming Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill

In June 2009, it was announced that Jana would join the TV show One Tree Hill. She played Alex Dupre, an actress who causes some trouble in the town of Tree Hill. Alex became the new face for Brooke Davis's fashion line. Jana's role started as a recurring one. But it soon became a regular part of the show.

In March 2012, Jana shared that she would not be a regular on the show's final season. She wanted to focus on her music career. Her last appearance on One Tree Hill was on January 18, 2012.

In February 2011, Jana signed a music deal with Elektra Records. She released her first song, "I Won't Give Up," that same month. It was featured on an episode of One Tree Hill. The song became popular and reached number 75 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On June 1, 2012, Jana performed live on Fox & Friends for the first time on TV. She sang "Why Ya Wanna" to promote her new album. On June 5, 2012, she released her first album, Jana Kramer. Critics liked the album and praised Jana's singing.

Jana Kramer has been married four times. She first married Michael Gambino in 2004. They divorced a few months later.

On December 22, 2009, Jana got engaged to actor Johnathon Schaech. They met while working on the movie Prom Night. They got married on July 4, 2010, but separated a month later. Their divorce was finalized in June 2011.

Jana met country singer Brantley Gilbert in June 2012. They got engaged in January 2013 but ended their relationship in August 2013.

In August 2014, Jana started dating Washington Redskins player Mike Caussin. They met on Twitter. They got engaged in December 2014 and married on May 22, 2015.

On August 10, 2015, Jana and Mike announced they were expecting their first child. Their daughter was born on January 31, 2016. They later welcomed their first son on November 29, 2018. Their divorce was finalized on July 22, 2021.

From September to October 2021, Jana dated former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. From late 2021 to April 2022, she dated fitness trainer Ian Schinelli.

In January 2023, Jana confirmed her relationship with Allan Russell. He is a former Scottish soccer player. On May 25, 2023, they announced their engagement. On June 8, 2023, they shared that they were expecting their first child together. Jana gave birth to her second son on November 13, 2023. Jana and Allan got married on July 13, 2024, in Scotland.
