Janaye Ingram's Early Life and Education
Janaye Ingram was born in Camden, New Jersey. Later, her family moved to Cherry Hill. Her family is well-known in Camden, especially because her father and his siblings are musicians. They worked with "The Sound of Philadelphia," which was a famous music style. Janaye's aunt, Barbara Ingram, was also a musician.
Janaye went to Clark Atlanta University. She earned a degree in Psychology. While there, she joined a sorority called Alpha Kappa Alpha. Later, she continued her studies at The New School, where she earned a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management. This education helped her learn how to run organizations that aim to do good for others.
Pageant Journey
In late 2003, Janaye Ingram was crowned Miss New Jersey USA 2004 in Jersey City, New Jersey. This meant she was chosen to represent her state. She then competed in the Miss USA 2004 pageant, which was held in Los Angeles, California in April 2004.
