Jancarlos de Oliveira Barros, known simply as Jancarlos, was a talented Brazilian footballer. He was born on August 15, 1983, in Natividade, Brazil. Jancarlos played as a right-back, which is a defensive position on the football field. He played for many different clubs during his career in Brazil. Sadly, Jancarlos passed away on November 22, 2013.
Playing Career
Jancarlos started his football journey in the youth teams of Fluminense from 1999 to 2000. He then became a professional player for Fluminense, playing there from 2001 to 2003. During this time, he helped his team win a state championship.
In 2004, Jancarlos played for Juventude on loan. This means he was temporarily playing for them. After that, he joined Atlético Paranaense in 2005, where he stayed until 2008. He played many games for them, scoring 8 goals.
Jancarlos then moved to São Paulo in 2008 and played there until 2009. He was part of the team that won a major national championship. After São Paulo, he played for Cruzeiro in 2009.
In 2010, Jancarlos signed a two-year contract with Botafogo. Later that year, he was loaned to Bahia. He then played for Bahia again in 2011. Towards the end of his career, he also played for Ituano, America-RJ, Volta Redonda, and Rio Branco-ES.
