Jaron Samuel Blossomgame (born September 16, 1993) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for AS Monaco in France. This team is part of the LNB Pro A league and the Euroleague. Blossomgame played college basketball for Clemson University. The San Antonio Spurs picked him in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft.

High School Basketball Journey

Jaron Blossomgame went to Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, Georgia. He played basketball for the Cougars. In his junior year, he was a top player. He scored about 24 points and grabbed almost 9 rebounds per game.

As a senior, Jaron helped his team finish with a great record of 25 wins and 5 losses. They made it to the "elite 8" playoffs. In 2011, he joined a team called the Georgia Stars. This team is part of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). He was the top scorer for his team, averaging 15.7 points per game.

However, Jaron had a serious injury that year. He broke his leg while practicing with his trainer. His bone even poked out of his left leg. Doctors expected him to wear a cast for six to eight weeks.

College Basketball Career

Blossomgame chose to play for Clemson University. He picked Clemson over several other colleges. He decided to take a "redshirt" year for the 2012–13 season. This meant he practiced with the team but did not play in games. It helped him recover from his broken leg.

After two years of getting better, Jaron had an amazing junior season in 2015–16. He scored 18.7 points and got 6.7 rebounds per game. He became one of the best players in the ACC. He was also named the conference's Most Improved Player.

After this great season, Blossomgame thought about joining the 2016 NBA draft. He was even invited to the NBA Draft Combine. This is where NBA teams watch college players. But he decided to go back to Clemson for his senior year.

In his senior year, Jaron was named to the preseason All-ACC team. Many sports writers also called him a preseason All-American. He averaged 17.7 points and 6.3 rebounds. He led the Tigers to the 2017 National Invitation Tournament. He was also a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award. After his last year at Clemson, Jaron was invited to the NBA Draft Combine again. This was special because not many players get invited twice.
