Early Life and Education

Jasmin Staiblin grew up in a village called Königschaffhausen, which is known for its wineries. Her parents were involved in their community. Her mother was a leader in a rural women's group, and her father was a master winemaker. When Jasmin was a child, her parents took part in protests against building a nuclear power plant nearby.

Jasmin went to the Technical High School in Emmendingen. She then studied electrical engineering and physics at the Technical University in Karlsruhe in Germany. She also studied at the Royal Technical College in Stockholm, Sweden. Her final project there was so good that it won the "European University Award."
