Jason Sidney Arthur Davis, born on November 2, 1983, is a former American football player. He played as a fullback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Philadelphia Eagles signed him in 2006, even though he was not chosen in the NFL Draft.
Davis also played for other teams during his career. These teams included the Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, and New York Jets. He also played in other leagues for the Hartford Colonials and Virginia Destroyers.

Early Life and High School Football
Jason Davis grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He went to Lindbergh High School there. He was a starter on the football team for all four years.
Davis played both offense and defense in high school. He helped his team, Lindbergh, win its first-ever district title. They also made it to the state playoffs. In his senior year, he made 54 tackles and caught three interceptions.
He was recognized as a top player by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. They named him second-team All-South as both a defensive back and a wide receiver. Besides football, Jason also played on the basketball team. He was part of the state champion 4 × 100 meter relay team in track in 2000.
College Football Career
After high school, Davis went to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He played fullback for the Illini college football team.
He became a starter during his junior year in 2004. That year, he caught 41 passes for 340 yards. He also scored two touchdowns by catching the ball. Additionally, he ran for 230 yards and scored one rushing touchdown.
Playing in the NFL
Jason Davis was not picked in the 2006 NFL draft. However, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him as an undrafted free agent. This means they signed him even though he wasn't drafted.
He played in his first NFL game in 2008 with the Oakland Raiders. In the same year, he also started in three games for the Chicago Bears.
The New York Jets picked up Davis on September 6, 2009. This happened when they "claimed him off waivers." This means another team let him go, and the Jets decided to add him to their team.
