Jason Sidney Arthur Davis, born on November 2, 1983, is a former American football player. He played as a fullback. Jason started his professional journey with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006. He also played college football for the Illinois Fighting Illini.
Over his career, Jason was part of several teams. These included the Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, Hartford Colonials, and Virginia Destroyers.

Growing Up and High School Sports
Jason Davis grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He went to Lindbergh High School. Jason was a starter on the football team for all four years. He played both offense and defense, showing his versatility.
In his senior year, Jason helped Lindbergh High School achieve a big milestone. They won their first-ever district title and made it to the state playoffs. That year, he made 54 tackles and caught three interceptions. He was recognized as one of the best players in the South by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. This honor was for both his defensive back and wide receiver skills.
Besides football, Jason was also a talented athlete in other sports. He played on the basketball team. In 2000, he was part of the state champion 4 × 100 meter relay team in track and field.
College Football Career
After high school, Jason Davis attended the University of Illinois. He played fullback for the university's football team, the Illinois Fighting Illini. By his junior year in 2004, he became a regular starter.
During that season, Jason showed his skills in both running and catching the ball. He caught 41 passes for a total of 340 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also ran for 230 yards and scored one rushing touchdown.
Playing in the NFL
Jason Davis was not chosen in the 2006 NFL draft. However, he still got a chance to play professionally. The Philadelphia Eagles signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2006. This means he joined the team even without being drafted.
He played in his first official NFL game in 2008 with the Oakland Raiders. Later that same year, he also started in three games for the Chicago Bears. On September 6, 2009, the New York Jets picked up Jason.

In 2010, Jason was part of a popular TV show called Hard Knocks. This show is a sports documentary series made by NFL Films and HBO. It follows an NFL team during their training camp. The 2010 season of the show focused on the New York Jets.
The show highlighted the competition for the starting fullback position. Jason was competing against veteran player Tony Richardson and rookie John Conner. This battle was a big part of the series. On September 3, 2010, the Jets released Jason as they finalized their team roster.
Later Professional Teams
After his time with the Jets, Jason continued his football career. On October 18, 2010, he joined the Hartford Colonials. This team was part of the United Football League (UFL). He later played for the Virginia Destroyers in the UFL in 2011.
