Jazzmeia Horn (born in 1991) is an amazing American jazz singer and songwriter. She won a really important award called the Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competition in 2015. Jazzmeia sings classic jazz songs and also covers popular tunes by artists like Stevie Wonder. People often compare her powerful voice to famous jazz singers such as Betty Carter, Sarah Vaughan, and Nancy Wilson.

Early Life and Education
Jazzmeia Horn was born and grew up in Dallas, Texas, in the United States. She went to the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. This special school helps young artists develop their talents.
Jazz Music Career
In 2009, Jazzmeia moved to New York City to follow her dreams. She studied at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. During her first few months there, she started her own music group. This group included talented musicians like Javier Santiago, Nadav Lachishe, and Cory Cox.
Jazzmeia's first live radio show was in 2009 on the Junior Mance WBGO radio show. Since then, she has performed at famous places like The Apollo, Ginny's Supper Club, and the Metropolitan Room. Many jazz experts have praised her incredible singing.
In 2014, Jazzmeia traveled around the world to perform. She sang in countries like England, France, Russia, South Africa, and Austria.
She was a special guest star at South Australia's Generations in Jazz festival in 2017. There, she sang with other amazing artists such as James Morrison and Wycliffe Gordon.
In 2017, Jazzmeia released her first album, called A Social Call. This album quickly became very popular. It was ranked the number one album for 2017 on the JazzWeek website. She toured all over the U.S., Asia (in Macau), and Europe (including London, Paris, and Milan) to share her new music.
A Social Call was so good that it earned Jazzmeia her first Grammy nomination in 2018. She even performed at the 60th Grammy Award Ceremony on January 28, 2018.
Her next album, Love & Liberation, came out in 2019. This album also received a Grammy nomination in 2020 for best jazz vocal album.
