Jean-François "J. F." Jacques (born April 29, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played as a left winger. He was chosen by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He played for many teams during his career, including the Oilers and Anaheim Ducks.

J. F. Jacques' Hockey Journey
Early Years and Junior Hockey
When he was young, J.F. Jacques played in a big hockey tournament for kids. It was called the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
He played four seasons with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar team. This team is part of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). In the 2003 NHL Draft, the Edmonton Oilers picked Jacques. He was the 68th player chosen overall.
Starting Professional Hockey
Jacques started his professional career in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2004–05. He played for the Edmonton Road Runners.
He made his first appearance in the National Hockey League (NHL) on February 2, 2006. This was with the Edmonton Oilers. He joined the team to fill in for an injured player.
Playing in the NHL
By the 2009–10 season, Jacques had a regular spot on the Oilers' team. He played on their checking line. Later, in November 2010, the Oilers sent him to their AHL team, the Oklahoma City Barons, for more practice.
In September 2011, Jacques faced a suspension. This was because he left the bench during a game to start a fight. He was not allowed to play for the rest of the pre-season and the first five games of the regular season.
Moving to Other Teams
On July 5, 2012, Jacques signed a one-year deal with the Florida Panthers. He started the 2012–13 season with their AHL team, the San Antonio Rampage. Later, in January 2013, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
In August 2013, Jacques joined the Springfield Falcons of the AHL.
Playing in Europe
After his time in North America, Jacques moved to Europe. On June 23, 2014, he signed a two-year deal with EC KAC in the Austrian Hockey League.
After his contract with KAC ended, Jacques moved to Germany. He signed a one-year deal with ERC Ingolstadt in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga on August 22, 2016. He played 52 games for them during the 2016–17 season.
Later Career
Jacques later played for HC Pustertal Wölfe in the Alps Hockey League. He finished his career in 2018.
