Jean Adebambo's Life Story
Jean Adebambo was born in Islington, a part of London. Her mother was from Montserrat, and her father was from Nigeria.
How She Started in Music
Jean didn't plan to become a singer at first. She was actually studying to be a nurse in the early 1980s. One day, a record company called Ital Records asked her to sing two songs. These songs were "Again" and "Reunited." This was her unexpected start in the music world.
Her Music Career
Later, Jean met a music producer from Jamaica named Leonard Chin. She recorded a song called "Paradise" with him. After that, she started her own successful music career. She mostly recorded songs for her own record label, called Ade J.
She released many popular songs. Some of her well-known singles include "Reaching For A Goal," "Hardships of Life," and "Pipe Dreams."
A Change of Path
Even though she was successful, Jean decided to leave the music industry. She went back to her medical career. She became a health visitor in Bermondsey, helping people in the community.
Her Return to Music
