Jed Brophy (born 29 October 1963) is an actor from New Zealand. He is famous for his roles in many films by director Peter Jackson. These include Braindead, Heavenly Creatures, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and King Kong. Jed Brophy also played the dwarf Nori in The Hobbit movies.

About Jed Brophy
Jed Brophy was born in Taihape, New Zealand, in 1963. He grew up in a place called Mataroa. He went to Mataroa Primary School and then Palmerston North Boys' High School.
He studied acting at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. He finished his studies in 1987. After that, he started acting in plays in Wellington in the 1980s. He became well-known for his part in a play called Skin Tight. He performed this play many times during different tours. In 1998, the play won an award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Jed Brophy's first role on screen was in 1988. It was in a film called Small War on the Edge of Town. He has worked on many film projects with director Peter Jackson. He also worked with Weta, a special effects company.

Jed Brophy has received several awards for his acting:
- In 2000, he won Best Actor at the Drifting Clouds Short Film Festival New Zealand. This was for his role in the short film Group Therapy.

In The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), he played Sharku and Snaga. He was also an Orc Warg Rider. In The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), he played an Ork.
In 2005, he worked with Peter Jackson again in King Kong. He played Venture Crew #1.
The Hobbit Trilogy
Jed Brophy is well-known for playing the dwarf Nori in The Hobbit film series. He appeared in all three movies:
