Jeffrey "Jeff" Sutphen (born October 15, 1976) is an American actor, producer, and game show host. He is best known for hosting Nickelodeon's BrainSurge from 2009 to 2011. He also hosted Figure It Out from 2012 to 2013.
About Jeff
Jeff Sutphen earned a degree in communications from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He married Stacy Sutphen on October 12, 2003. They live in Los Angeles and have two children, a son and a daughter.
Jeff's TV Journey
Jeff started his career in entertainment at MTV. Later, he moved to Nickelodeon. There, he worked as a producer for U-Pick Live. This show let viewers choose which programs the network would air. Jeff also played a superhero character named Pick Boy on the show. U-Pick Live was on TV from 2002 to 2005.
After producing Nickelodeon's 2008 game show My Family's Got Guts, Jeff became the host of BrainSurge in 2009. This was a popular game show on Nickelodeon.
At the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards, Jeff and Lily Collins hosted the special pre-show. It was called The Countdown to Kids’ Choice! and was broadcast live from Los Angeles.
In June 2011, Jeff began hosting 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show for ABC. On March 7, 2012, it was announced that Jeff would host the classic Nickelodeon game show Figure It Out. The show started production again in April 2012.
Jeff also launched an online talk show called The Garage Show with Jeff Sutphen. He invites guests to his garage to chat about different topics. In one episode, other famous Nickelodeon game show hosts like Marc Summers and Phil Moore were guests.
As of 2019, Jeff has been a co-executive producer for the show Ryan's Mystery Playdate.
