Early Life and Education

Jenn White was born in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up on the west side of the city. She was one of seven children in her family. When she was 16, her sister introduced her to the NPR radio show Car Talk. This sparked her interest in radio. She also learned more about radio through performing arts classes. She attended Cass Technical High School. Later, Jenn White earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
