Jennifer Eve Garth (born April 3, 1972) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Kelly Taylor in the Beverly Hills, 90210 TV shows. She also starred as Val Tyler in the sitcom What I Like About You from 2002 to 2006. In 2012, Jennie had her own reality show called Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country on CMT. She also wrote a book about her life called Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde.

Early Life and First Steps to Acting
Jennie Garth was born in Urbana, Illinois. She was the youngest of seven children. Jennie spent a lot of her childhood on a horse ranch in Illinois. When she was about 13 years old, her family moved to Glendale, Arizona.
Jennie loved to dance and model. A talent scout named Randy James discovered her at a local talent show. She went to Greenway High School and later Apollo High School. Jennie was determined to become an actress. She left high school early to work in Los Angeles. Later, she earned her high school diploma in California.
Career Highlights
Starting Out with Beverly Hills, 90210 (1989–2001)
In 1990, Jennie Garth got a big role as Kelly Taylor in the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210. Her character, Kelly, faced many challenges in her life and with her family. Jennie was in all ten seasons of the show. She even directed two episodes, which was more than any other female cast member.
Jennie won a Young Artist Award for her role. She was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award. Her character, Kelly, was important for starting the spin-off shows Melrose Place and 90210. Kelly appeared in most episodes across the whole series. In 1993, Jennie released a workout video called Body In Progress.
Her success on Beverly Hills, 90210 led to many main roles in TV movies during the 1990s. Some of these movies include Danielle Steel's Star (1993) and Without Consent (1994). She also had smaller roles in movies like Telling You (1998). In 1994, Jennie was a guest timekeeper at the WWF's WrestleMania X event.
Continued TV Success with What I Like About You (2002–2013)
In 2002, Jennie Garth starred with Amanda Bynes in the sitcom What I Like About You. She played Valerie Tyler. Jennie and Amanda were on the show for all four seasons. The show was about the relationships and friendships of the Tyler sisters.
In 2003, Jennie starred in TV movies like The Last Cowboy and Secret Santa. For Secret Santa, she and the cast won a 2004 CAMIE Award. In 2005, she voiced her Beverly Hills, 90210 character, Kelly Taylor, in an episode of Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.
Jennie also starred in the TV movie Girl, Positive (2007). She played a teacher who was HIV positive. She and her co-star Andrea Bowen won a Prism Award for their acting. In 2007, Jennie competed on Dancing with the Stars: season five. She danced with Derek Hough and they made it to the semi-finals.
In September 2008, Jennie returned as Kelly Taylor in the spin-off series 90210. In this show, Kelly Taylor was a school guidance counselor. She had a four-year-old son. Jennie also appeared on the game show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? in 2008. She won $100,000 for the American Heart Association.
Memoir and Reality TV (2014–Present)
On February 18, 2014, a new reality TV series called The Jennie Garth Project began production. It aired on HGTV. The show followed Jennie as she renovated a home in Hollywood Hills, California for herself and her three children.
Jennie released her memoir, Deep Thoughts from a Hollywood Blonde, on April 1, 2014. In 2017, she launched MomGiftBox.com, a subscription box for moms. She also started a jewelry collection with Dune Jewelry in 2018.
In November 2020, Jennie began a podcast called 9021OMG with her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Tori Spelling. They share memories from their time on the show. In February 2021, Jennie won $168,000 on ABC's Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. She donated the money to the Central Illinois Foodbank. On July 29, 2024, Jennie launched her own clothing line, "Me by Jennie Garth", on QVC.
Personal Life
Jennie Garth was married to musician Daniel B. Clark from 1994 to 1996.
In 1995, Jennie met actor Peter Facinelli. They married on January 20, 2001. They have three daughters, born in 1997, 2002, and 2006. They divorced in 2013.
Jennie started dating actor David Abrams in 2014. They got engaged in April 2015 and married on July 11, 2015. They separated in 2017 and filed for divorce in 2018. However, they later decided to stay together in February 2019.
In 2002, when she was 30, Jennie was diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse and a leaky heart valve. This is a heart condition that needs to be monitored. She shared this information in 2009. She said she is prepared to manage it throughout her life.
