Jennifer Lesley Ellison is an English actress, singer, dancer, and television personality. She is famous for playing Emily Shadwick in the TV soap opera Brookside. She also played Meg Giry in the 2004 movie version of The Phantom of the Opera. Jennifer also appeared on the reality TV show Dance Mums with Jennifer Ellison, which is the UK version of the American show Dance Moms.

Career
Dancing and Television
Jennifer started dancing when she was only three years old. She trained at the Elizabeth Hill School of Dance in St Helens, England. She passed many exams with the Royal Academy of Dance and even appeared in their training videos. She won dance championships in 1996 and 1997. She was so good that she was accepted into the famous Royal Ballet Lower School, but she decided to become an actress instead.
In 2012, Jennifer competed on the TV show Dancing on Ice and reached the semi-finals. She later hosted the UK version of the show Dance Moms, called Dance Mums with Jennifer Ellison, from 2014 to 2015.
Her first major acting role was from 1998 to 2003 in the soap opera Brookside, where she played Emily Shadwick. In 2004, she won the reality TV show Hell's Kitchen. She has also appeared as a guest on shows like Loose Women and acted in series such as Hotel Babylon and The Commander.
Music Career
Jennifer also tried a career in pop music. In 2003, she released her first song, "Baby I Don't Care". It was a hit and reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart. Her second song, "Bye Bye Boy", came out in 2004 and reached number 13.

Stage and Film Acting
Jennifer has performed in many famous stage shows. In 2004, she played the main role of Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago in London's West End. She later toured the UK with the show. She has also appeared in other plays and musicals, including Boeing Boeing, Calendar Girls, and Legally Blonde The Musical.
She has also been in many pantomimes, which are fun plays often performed around Christmas. She has played characters like Cinderella and Peter Pan.
In 2004, Jennifer made her international movie debut as Meg Giry in The Phantom of the Opera. In 2008, she starred in the British horror movie The Cottage.
Other Work
Jennifer has also worked as a model, appearing in many popular magazines. She released two fitness DVDs, Jennifer Ellison's West End Workout in 2006 and Jennifer Ellison's Fat Blaster Workout in 2011. These DVDs combined her love of dance with exercise.
In 2013, she co-hosted a breakfast show on the Liverpool radio station, Radio City 96.7.
Personal Life
Jennifer grew up in Liverpool and attended Broughton Hall High School and St Edward's College. She is married to Robbie Tickle, and they have three sons. Their first son was born in 2010, their second in 2013, and their third in 2014.
Jennifer is a big fan of the Everton Football Club.
